Conestoga College, one of the partner University of the Alliance By Institut Paul Bocuse, has won one of the 2021 Honorable Mention at the LOOP DESIGN AWARDS.
Indeed, the brand-new campus offers an amazing architecture profitable for its students. Located in the west block of the North Campus in Waterloo, Ontario, culinary action is put on display with views into the school. Full curtain-wall glazing within the central corridor offers glimpses into the culinary labs which are outfitted with state-of-the-art stainless-steel casework and appliances, high-end AV equipment, and custom-designed multi-colour backsplashes. Bake, Culinary, Mixology and Butchery Labs provide an interactive and adaptable environment for culinary instruction and events, with an attractive, fresh, and inviting atmosphere. Bloom, a teaching restaurant, integrates the elements of the Labs with a focus on visibility, acoustics, and lighting to create a welcoming ambiance for guests. The restaurant is a ‘live lab’ for students that offers an upscale, well-known dining experience for guests.
A big BRAVO to Conestoga College for this achievement !
