The Alliance network is part of the Institut Lyfe activities and operates in accordance with the generally accepted principles of non-profit organizations. Its primary objective is to serve quality and excellence in education and research for the benefit of its members around the world.

Alliance partners agreed on the structure and organization of the network, especially the importance of governance and creation of three committees: the Executive Committee, the Admission Committee and the Research Committee. The CEO of Institut Lyfe is the chairperson of the Alliance Network. He is the major in-line decision-making person and point contract with the members. He nominates the Alliance Manager who operates as a permanent liaison representative.

The structure and organization aim to facilitate the creation and follow-up of projects as well as control the role and commitment of each member.

Each committee covers a scope of missions and encourages the development and spreading of the Alliance around the world. Each committee develops a series of tools and actions according to its own objectives.

  • The Executive Committee shares policies and procedures, makes recommendations on educational policies and objectives, as well as provides a forum for the discussion of opportunities related to the development and operation of the Alliance.
  • The Admission Committee is in charge of the assessment of applications for membership and for current members. It proceeds to on-site visits in order to proof the quality of applicants and/or members.
  • The Research Committee creates joint research projects related to Food Service, Culinary Arts and Sciences Management.
Members’ committee are elected for two years. Elections are organized during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and each member can submit its candidacy.
