The Congress of Research Applied to Tourism 2024, hosted by The Hospitality Management School (ESDAI) of the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, took place from April 24 to 26.
This prestigious event, organized by the Ministry of Tourism of Mexico, convened experts, scholars, and enthusiasts in the field of tourism from various corners of the globe.
Chosen as the venue for this year’s edition, Universidad Panamericana emerged as a hub for the exchange of insights and innovations stemming from applied research and technological advancements, spanning a multitude of disciplines that intersect with the tourism industry and its expansive value chain.
This gathering provided a platform for researchers, academics, and students hailing from institutions of higher learning, research hubs, corporations, and civil society organizations engaged in the pursuit of applied scientific research, technological innovations, and developmental endeavors relevant to the tourism sector.
Over the course of three dynamic days, the congress featured 58 thought-provoking presentations and welcomed six distinguished keynote speakers. Drawing participants from 15 states across Mexico and six additional countries including Colombia, Dominican Republic, Chile, Paraguay, El Salvador, and of course, Mexico, the event boasted an impressive turnout of 1,406 attendees.
