Welcome to a new member: Bahçeşehir University

The Alliance by Institut Paul Bocuse is proud to welcome Bahçeşehir University located in Istanbul, Turkey as a new member.

Bahçeşehir University (BAU) was established in 1998. With the “A World University in the Heart of Istanbul” mission, BAU has nine faculties, one School of Applied Sciences, one Conservatory, one School of Foreign Languages, one Vocational School and Postgraduate Education Institute with 12 different programs.

Founded in 2016 under the School of Applied Sciences, BAU Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department is based in a brand new “Culinary Arts Center” equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment. With three professional kitchens, a pastry laboratory, an applied restaurant and a café, the 350 students enrolled in the BAU Bachelor Degree follow a complete training as well as experience the real restaurant environment.

As BAU Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, we believe that we will strenghten our global vision with being a member of The Alliance by Institut by Paul Bocuse. We aimed to increase our internationalization and mobility of our students by encouraging them to experience the Paul Bocuse culture. This collaboration will give us the opportunity to represent Turkish cusine to the alliance members in 4 continents.  The collaborative nature of the alliance will definitely promote the development and professional growth of our students and faculty members the partnered activities and organizations. Moreover, the membership will help in their better understanding of the global culinary culture.

Bahçeşehir University becomes the 21st member of the Alliance, the second to be located in Turkey.
