Pisco, el sabor del Peru by USIL

Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, Facultad de Administración Hotelera, Turismo y Gastronomía, held a webinar titled “Pisco, el sabor del Peru” on Thursday February 25.

Lucero Villagarcia – sommelier and Pisco expert – was the speaker of the event. The webinar organized as part of the Pisco Sour Month gathered 96 participants from 12 different countries. Lucero Villagarcia presented the origins of this South American brandy, the production process, as well as the characteristics of each variety.

About Lucero Villagarcia:

Lucero Villagarcia is the author of “La Guía del Pisco” and “La Magia del Pisco”, considered as the best books of distillates in Peru and the second best book in the world in 2014. Known for her courses and tastings of Pisco, she is the former president of the Peruvian Association of Sommeliers – APSOM. She is also professor at Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola.
